Alexander White

Alexander White was born in Cumnock in 1889 to Peter White and Catherine Stewart.
By the time of his death his mother was Mrs Creechan of Tower Street.

He had worked in William Hunter's ironmongery and as a gardener at Dumfries House. When he enlisted he was working as a gardener in Wylam near Newcastle.

He died on the 15th September 1916 at the Somme. He was 26.
