John Dillon

I am grateful to Max Espie, a medal researcher in St Andrews, for sending me the pictures of the medals featured below.

John Dillon was born about 1879 in Auchinleck to Alexander Dillon and Annie Drury.
He was a tailor in 1901.  He served in the KOSB and the Labour Corps. He survived the war.

Cumnock Chronicle 1916

His sister, Mary Dillon, lost her husband Thomas Gilchrist in the conflict.
He married Mary Jamieson in 1905.
