John Taylor

Private John Taylor of the Cameron Highlanders appears on Cumnock War Memorial.

He was born at Torhill in Muirkirk on 23 December 1888, the son of David Taylor and Ann Murdoch of Muirkirk (and a second cousin once removed of my husband)

He died in France on 25 Sep 1915 at the Battle of Loos, the eleventh local man I have found so far to have fallen in this battle.
