Thomas Campbell of Skares

Thomas Campbell, born in Girvan about 1881, was the son of Thomas Campbell and Sarah Swan. He married his cousin Marion Swan in Skares in 1909. They lived at 75 Skares Row, Cumnock at the time of his death.

He died at Alexandria on 24th April 1917. He was a private in the Royal Scots Fusiliers.

Cumnock Chronicle

He is remembered on Cumnock War memorial and at Alexandria (Hadra) War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
